摘要: Flavonols are an important class of naturally occurring molecules and known for their pharmacological activity. The activity is associated with the ability flavonols to influence membrane-dependent processes. We have investigated in-vitro anti-proliferative anti-oxidant galangin (GLN), fisetin (FTN) quercetin (QTN), which possess variable number phenolic hydroxyl groups. An attempt has been made correlate biological these interaction localization in dipalmitoyl phosphatidyl choline (DPPC) bilayers, using differential dcanning calorimetry (DSC) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) methods. Results indicate that GLN interacts alkyl chains lipid bilayer involving hydrophobic interactions. FTN QTN interact head region sn-1-glycero hydrogen bonding. Ring current induced chemical shifts protons, due intermolecular acquires a parallel orientation respect normal whereas resume mixed orientation. membrane binding constants order GLN > QTN > FTN. It shown position groups play role thereby
