摘要: The effects of aqueous-methanol extract Saussurea lappa Clarke root (Sl.Cr) was investigated against D-galactosamine (D-GalN) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced hepatitis in mice. Co-administration D-GalN (700 mg/kg) LPS (1 μg/kg) significantly raised the plasma transaminase levels (ALT/AST) as compared to control group (p < 0.05). Pretreatment mice with different doses Sl.Cr (150, 300 600 prevented LPS-induced rise ALT AST a dose-dependent manner Post-treatment (600 restricted progression hepatic damage induced by improvement enzyme further verified histopathology liver, which showed improved architecture, absence parenchyma congestion, decreased cellular swelling apoptotic cells treatment groups toxin animals. These data indicate that exhibits hepatoprotective effect this study rationalize traditional use plant liver disorders. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
