摘要: To support the implementation of integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) plans, a quantitative methodology was assessed, fitting for both National and Regional scale. According to indicators proposed by Deduce Consortium (Indicators guideline: adopt indicator-based approach evaluate sustainable development. Department Environment Housing, Government Catalonia, Barcelona, 2007), we propose procedure define monothematic synthetic indexes useful in explaining territory status. achieve this goal, used implemented geographic information systems (GIS) framework which had allowed us draw these into maps, making them valuable tools inform stakeholders about weaknesses strengths areas, involve ICZM process according bottom-up approach. We present here an application inland sectors Sele plain (Tyrrhenian coast, Southern Italy), is affected natural hazards territorial fragmentation. Moreover, characterized also large untouched areas be preserved. illustrate above area, importance GIS manage integrate amounts numerical data, produced several projects, realized past decade environmental management. For purpose, index maps have been drawn transfer appropriate knowledge status stakeholders.
