摘要: Abstract Chronic toxicity and carcinogenicity studies were conducted on d -mannitol propyl gallate in F344 rats B6C3F1 mice. Groups of 50 mice each sex maintained diets containing either 0, 2.5 or 5.0% 0.6 1.2% for 103 wk. -Mannitol had no effect survival mean body weight mice, feed consumption was approximately the same control treated groups species. Gastric fundal gland dilation occurred at a higher incidence female than controls. A mild nephrosis characterized by focal vacuolization renal tubular epithelium observed an increased No significant increase tumour any comparison with corresponding Survival given similar to that Mean weights lower chemically exposed animals, more so females. Male showed hepatic cytoplasmic suppurative inflammation prostate gland. Tumours preputial gland, islet-cell tumours pancreas, phaeochromocytoma adrenal significantly (P 1 , low dose 3 49 high 8 ), high-dose group 36 398 9%) this laboratory, apparent not considered be related administration. Under conditions these studies, neither nor carcinogenic sex.
