摘要: The native wolf population was exterminated in the area during second half of 19 th century. There were scarce data on occurrence first 20 Eight animals escaped from captivity 1976. Altogether 16 shot following years 1976–1989. Since 1990 there is increase findings with different level reliability. Data indicate only single individuals, most likely males, and not any population. Reproduction could be confirmed. origin individual wolves unclear. Some captivity, but also a natural immigration east (the Carpathians) seems to possible. under study corresponds well Slovakia. dead animals, which analysed morphometrically, relate wolves, genetic analysis still missing. Bohemian Forest seen as an sufficient carrying capacity for permanent wolf. main constraint might acceptance by people, mainly hunters farmers.
