摘要: The ultrastructural pattern of human hair infection by Piedraia hortae in vivo has been studied. fungus destroyed the cuticular layers and was able to penetrate deeply into cortex. course destruction is described compared with that produced other fungi. Two well-defined types cortex digestion were characterized. slow rate keratin degradation at together compacted stromatic organization nodules are argued as main reasons guarantee long survival fungus, therefore chronic disease. data provided this paper may help understand mechanisms regulate pathogenicity fungus.
