摘要: Fibers in non-woven fibrous goods are bonded together by a crosslinked carboxylated acrylate polymer which forms network of coalesced latex particles bonding contiguous fibers. This exists as non-continuous, porous film supported upon the fibers goods. The derived from carboxylate containing 1-20 phr itaconic acid (IA) and at least 70 one or more copolymerizable monomers is an having structure ##STR1## wherein R 1 hydrogen methyl; 2 represents C -C 20 alkyl, 7 alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalkyl, cyanoalkyl; 40 said present alkyl 4 8 . can only be has been formed emulsion polymerization process one-half IA initially charged into reactor, remaining ingredients recipe then added gradually. unique order addition produces concentration carboxyl (COOH) groups on surface twice that COOH conventionally proportioning monomer after initiation. distribution persists particles, results higher tensile strength toughness than might expected with such low T g family.
