摘要: Purpose To study the influence of neodymium:YAG (Nd:YAG) laser capsulotomy on ocular wavefront aberrations. Setting Department Ophthalmology, Antwerp University Hospital, Edegem, Belgium. Methods The aberrations in pseudophakic eyes with posterior capsule opacification (PCO) were measured an iTrace aberrometer before and after Nd:YAG capsulotomy. These results analyzed using Zernike coefficients, total higher-order root-mean-square (RMS) values, peak–valley difference. In addition, a separate evaluation was performed 2 intraocular lens (IOL) types: hydrophilic 92S (hydrophilic IOL subgroup) hydrophobic AcrySof SA60AT (hydrophobic subgroup). Results evaluated 62 (56 patients). RMS values all decreased significantly capsulotomy; mean decrease 0.186 μm ± 0.445 (SD) RMS, 0.138 0.223 μm. (mean 0.325 0.372 μm) significant subgroup (n = 14) but not subgroup. Before capsulotomy, there statistically difference between subgroups astigmatism coefficient C(4,−2). After less. Conclusion Neodymium:YAG reduced may originate from healing response capsular bag types.
