摘要: Since its inception in 2001, Wikipedia has fast become one of the Internet's most dominant sources information. Dubbed "the free encyclopedia", contains millions articles that are written, edited, and maintained by volunteers. Due part to open, collaborative process which content is generated, many have questioned reliability these articles. The high variance quality between a potential source confusion likely leaves visitors unable distinguish good bad. In this work, we describe how very simple metric – word count can be used as proxy for article quality, discuss implications result particular, assessment general.
