摘要: Background: Pain is a complex subjective sensation and considered to be huge global health concern. Several studies have suggested pain chronic cluster within families, but these mainly focused on fibromyalgia spinal pain. However, there little knowledge concerning intergenerational transfer of in knees hips. Objective: The purpose this study investigate possible association between parents their adult offspring occurrence knee hip pain, further examine if potential stronger for subjects with higher levels due osteoarthritis.Method: This based answers from 11 080 parent-offspring trios participating the Nord-Trondelag Health Study (HUNT). HUNT includes lifestyle related questions - including localization Through linkage Family Registry at Statistics Norway, relations data were established (parental HUNT2 (1995-97) HUNT3 (2006-08)). Logistic regression analysis was used estimate odds ratio (OR) hip. Results: Overall, 4.9% (542) sons 8% (886) daughters reported whereas corresponding figures are 3.6% (398) 9.5% (1053), respectively. OR when mothers 1.8 (95% CI 1.5-2.2) 1.3 1.0-1.6) sons. When father 1.1 0.9-1.4) 1.5 1.3-1.8) 1.4 1.1-1.8) fathers (95%CI 1.2-1.7) 1.1-1.9) If accompanied by osteoarthritis, somewhat sons, compared main analyses. Conclusion: In present study, results indicate an overall increased among reporting same region. Although genetic environmental effects cannot separated suggest heritable component
