摘要: Sixty-eight patients with advanced breast cancer were treated mitoxantrone and clinical responses assessed. Expression of c-erbB-2 protein cytosolic glutathione S-transferase (GST) isoenzymes pi, alpha mu by the primary tumours these was determined immunohistochemically, correlated treatment response. Tumours overexpressing (n = 16, 23%) showed a lower response rate (50% vs 58%) shorter duration to treatment, compared negative tumours. These associations not statistically significant but survival following start significantly in positive group. For each GST isoenzyme, group showing enzyme expression did differ from those negatively staining data do support role for GSTs alone resistance monotherapy cancer. The poorer post suggests they could be selected more intensive regimens.
