摘要: There is limited information about how transgender, nonbinary, and other gender diverse (trans) people have been studied represented by researchers. The objectives of this study were to: (1) increase access to trans research; (2) map describe research across subject fields; (3) identify evidence gaps opportunities for more responsible research. Eligibility criteria established include empirical any design, which included participants or their personal that was published in English peer-reviewed journals. A search 15 academic databases resulted 25,230 references; data presented 690 trans-focused articles met the screening between 2010 2014. 10 topics most frequently were: therapeutics surgeries; identity expression; mental health; (4) biology physiology; (5) discrimination marginalization; (6) physical (7) sexual health, HIV, sexually transmitted infections; (8) health services; (9) social support, relationships, families; (10) resilience, well-being, quality life. This also highlights relatively minor attention has paid a number topics, including ethnicity, culture, race, racialization; housing; income; employment; space place. Results review potential awareness existing research, characterize gaps, inform strategic prioritization. With information, it likely communities allies will be position benefit from hold researchers accountable.
