摘要: The partial reduction of poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) was investigated. A series poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline-co-N-propylethylene imine)s were synthesized by direct using lithium aluminum hydride or borane/dimethylsulfide (BH3/DMS), respectively. It is shown that the degree can be readily controlled either reaction time when an excess LiAlH4 stoichiometry BH3/DMS, as demonstrated 1H-NMR spectroscopy. Differential scanning calorimetry revealed glass transition temperature products decreased with increasing up to 25% reduction, above which no could detected. Moreover, acid–base titration showed a very pronounced, dependent buffering capacity these polymers between pH 4 and 8, great interest, e.g. in context endosomal escape. This control over allows tailor synthesis partially cationic on basis poly(2-oxazoline)s, which, combination hydrophilic/lipophilic balance through side chain length tight materials properties. Such may interesting, inter alia, for biomaterials organic electronics.
