摘要: Abstract Presented in the paper is a new approach to 3-axis NC tool-path generation for sculptured surface machining. In proposed C-space approach, geometric data describing design-surface and stock-surface are transformed into elements, then, all decisions made configuration space (C-space). The provides number of distinctive features suitable high speed machining dies moulds, including: (1) gouge-free collision-free tool-paths; (2) balanced cutting-loads; (3) smooth cutter movements; (4) verification mechanisms. It suggested, with some supportive results, that Z-map model might be representation scheme implementing method. Also discussed other implementation as well future research directions.
