摘要: In Nitrosomonas electrons flow from hydroxylamine oxidoreductase to ammonia monoxygenase, NAD or cytochrome oxidase a nitrite-reducing system. The pathway includes the extrinsic membrane tetraheme c-554 and, possibly, membrane-anchored c-cytochrome (CycB). Cyc554 and cycB share an operon in HAO gene cluster. CycB has high homology with nirT, napC torC suggesting role anaerobic metabolism. A small fraction of active is found membrane. AMO operon, gene-derived amino acid sequence suggests, for subunits-A -B, 6 2 membrane-spanning helices, respectively. AmoA could provide proton wire pore.
