摘要: Sponges harbor a complex consortium of microbial communities living in symbiotic relationship benefiting each other through the integration metabolites. The mechanisms influencing successful association with sponge partner are yet to be fully understood. Here, we sequenced genome Pseudovibrio sp. POLY-S9 strain isolated from intertidal marine Polymastia penicillus sampled Atlantic coast Portugal identify genomic features favoring relationship. draft revealed an exceptionally large size 6.6 Mbp compared previously reported genomes genus coral and larva. Our study detected presence several biosynthetic gene clusters-polyketide synthase, nonribosomal peptide synthetase siderophore-affirming potential ability produce wide variety metabolic compounds. Moreover, identified repertoire genes encoding adaptive symbioses factors (eukaryotic-like proteins), such as ankyrin repeats, tetratrico Sel1 repeats that improve attachment eukaryotic hosts avoidance host's immune response : also harbored number mobile elements (∼5%) transfer agents, which explains massive expansion suggests possible mechanism horizontal transfer. In conclusion, exhibited increase size, DNA, multiple metabolite clusters, secretion systems, likely influence diversification evolvability.
