摘要: An immune deviation toward Th2-type immunity is involved in the pathogenesis of allergic asthma and rhinitis. Allergic inflammation characterized by upregulation cytokines (the so-called Th2 polarization), whereas there a downregulation Th1-type response related like interferon-γ (IFN-γ). The latter strong inducer enzyme indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), which degrades essential amino acid tryptophan as part an antiproliferative strategy immunocompetent cells to halt growth infected malignant cells. Tryptophan metabolism may also play relevant role pathophysiology disorders.
