摘要: Abstract Electrical, magnetic, and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements have been made on crystals powders of several quaternary chalcogenides the type Cu2AIIBIVX4, where AII = Zn, Mn, Fe, or Co, BIV Si, Ge, Sn, X S Se. The electrical properties these compounds are extrinsic, but their magnetic do not appear to be affected by impurities. moments Cu2MnBX4 decrease with increasing covalency MnX bond, those Cu2FeGeS4 Cu2CoGeS4 reflect an orbital contribution moment. Both Weiss constants ordering temperatures in show evolution from antiferromagnetism ferromagnetism separation between moments. Magnetic single Cu2MnGeS4, Cu2CoGeS4, indicate that only latter is anisotropic. EPR Cu2ZnGeS4 doped nominally 0.1% Mn reveal Mn2+ experiences axial distortion bond ionicity same as ZnS.
