摘要: Disorders of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism have been reported to cluster in patients with essential hypertension spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs). A deletion the Cd36 gene on chromosome 4 has recently implicated defective isolated adipocytes from SHRs. However, role control blood pressure systemic cardiovascular risk factors SHRs is unknown. In SHR. BN-Il6/Npy congenic strain, we found that transfer a segment (including Cd36) Brown Norway (BN) rat onto SHR background induces reductions ameliorates dietary-induced glucose intolerance, hyperinsulinemia, hypertriglyceridemia. These results demonstrate single region can influence broad spectrum involved metabolic syndrome. analysis genotypes stroke-prone strains indicates variant was not critical initial selection for model. Thus, ability multiple factors, including hypertension, may depend linkage other genes trapped within differential strain.
