摘要: Ancient asexuals directly contradict the evolutionary theories that explain why organisms should evolve a sexual life history. The mutualistic, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi are thought to have been asexual for approximately 400 million years. In absence of sex, highly divergent descendants formerly allelic nucleotide sequences in genome. fungi, where individual offspring receive hundreds nuclei from parent, it has hypothesized population genetically different within one individual. Here we use DNA-DNA fluorescent situ hybridization show co-exist fungi. We also genetics techniques used other unsuitable detecting recombination because assumptions and underlying processes do not fit fungal genomic structure shown here. Instead phylogenetic approach within-individual genetic variation occurs probably evolved through accumulation mutations an essentially clonal genome, with some infrequent events. conclude be multi-genomic.
