Rehabilitation therapy services for stroke patients living at home: systematic review of randomised trials.

摘要: Background Stroke-unit care can be valuable for stroke patients in hospital, but effectiveness of outpatient is less certain. We aimed to assess the effects therapy-based rehabilitation services targeted at resident community within 1 year onset or discharge from hospital. Methods did a systematic review randomised trials services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and multidisciplinary teams. used Cochrane collaboration methodology. Findings identified heterogeneous group 14 (1617 patients). Therapy-based living home reduced odds deteriorating personal activities daily (odds ratio 0.72 [95% CI 0.57-0.92], p=0.009) increased ability do (standardised mean difference 0.14 0.02-0.25], p=0.02). For every 100 receiving seven (95% 2-11) would not deteriorate. Interpretation selected after improve undertake reduce risk deterioration ability. These findings should considered future service planning.
