摘要: Cationic contact-killing is an important strategy for creating antimicrobial surfaces that prevent viable bacteria attachment. Recent studies have shown highly swollen, compliant resist bacterial attachment and a sufficient density of mobile cationic charge can effectively disrupt cell membranes. Polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEMs), popular coating system surface modification, been used to kill through the incorporation or leaching biocides. In this work, we show manipulation multilayer assembly postassembly conditions (e.g., pH) expose create PEMs without addition specific biocidal species.
