摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency releasing commercially reared individuals grey partridge (Perdix perdix) as a method for species recovery. This compares mortality risk partridges depending on origin, sex and body condition, controlling age, infection release method. In total, 110 locally caught wild 75 game-farm were released radio tracked within same area in Czech Republic between 2009 2011. To exclude possible effect age survival, only second calendar year life chosen analysis. Commercially had significantly higher than ones. None birds survived until end nesting period, none produced fledged brood. Females from game farms showed better survival males preferred mate with males, whereas females avoided mating males. Predation main cause mortality, proportion killed by raptors mammals did not differ birds. These results highlight uselessness adult an effort establish viable populations stress need change intensive rearing methods aimed predominantly at quantity towards more conservation breeding-oriented approach quality.
