ZnO nanoplates assembled by rod-like nanoparticles: simple reflux synthesis, influential factors and shape evolution towards nanorings

摘要: ZnO nanoplates assembled by abundant rod-like nanoparticles have been successfully prepared a simple reflux route without the assistance of structure-directing agent or template. The as-synthesized products were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), (high resolution) transmission (HRTEM/TEM), selected area (SAED), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) and photoluminescence (PL). Some factors influencing morphology nanostructures investigated, including type polyol Zn2+ ion source, amounts zinc nitrate hexahydrate hexamine, reaction temperature. It was found that volume ratio diethylene glycol water in system played crucial role formation nanoplates. time-dependent shape evolution experiments revealed under present experimental conditions, underwent transition from to nanoplates, finally nanorings. Experiments showed as-obtained presented good visible-light photocatalytic activity wide range PL properties.
