摘要: Skin is in direct contact with the environment and therefore undergoes aging as a consequence of environmentally induce damage. Wrinkle formation striking feature intrinsic photo-induced skin aging, which are both associated oxidative stress inflammatory response. The present study was undertaken to identify mechanisms responsible for anti-wrinkle effects MLB, thus, we investigated whether magnesium lithospermate B (MLB) from Salvia miltiorrhiza BUNGE wrinkle caused by extrinsic using Sprague-Dawley rats aged 5 20 months ultraviolet (UVB)-irradiated human fibroblasts cells, respectively. results obtained showed that oral administration MLB significantly upregulated level type I procollagen downregulated activities expressions matrix-metalloproteinases (MMPs) rat skin. In fibroblasts, suppressed transactivation nuclear factor-kB (NF-kB) activator protein 1(AP-1), two transcription factors MMP expression, suppressing mitogen activated kinase (MAPK) pathway. Our show antioxidant effect due scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS) its inhibitory on NF-kB-dependent inflammation genes, such as, cyclooxygenase-2 inducible nitric oxide synthase. found reverse age- UVB-related reductions levels NF-kB AP-1-dependent MMPs modulating ROS generation MAPK signaling We suggest potentially has anti-skin effects.
