摘要: Purpose The purpose of this study was to determine if magnetization transfer contrast (MTC) imaging could be used detect early macromolecular accumulation in a mouse model Alzheimer's disease. Methods We obtained MTC images at 9.4 T three different age points the Tg2576 disease. The exhibits increased amyloid beta deposition that eventually progresses into plaque formation, hyper-phosphorylated tau but does not exhibit neurodegeneration. Results Our results show an increase signal predates formation and reported learning memory deficits mouse. This reversed antioxidant therapy. Conclusion MTC magnetic resonance can changes source is likely complex warrants further investigation additional preclinical models represent late stage disease pathologies.
