摘要: Abstract This study investigated the effects of Bi2O3 and Al2O3 on silver vanadate glasses for iodine immobilization. An immobilization matrix was developed examined with M2O3 (M = Bi, Al) as additives a AgI-Ag2O-V2O5 glass system. Immobilization confirmed at 800 °C after 1 h melting without significant loss elements that constituted glass, excluding aluminum. The loading in approximately 30–36% by weight, oxygen. Normalized releases all obtained were below order 10−1 g/m2, which satisfies USA regulation (2 g/m2). structural factors influenced chemical durability suppressed release discussed. addition formation VO4 tetrahedron from V2O5 matrix. not iodine.
