摘要: There are conflicting opinions about the contribution of malocclusions to development dental caries and periodontal disease. This study’s aim was determine association between specific malocclusion traits, caries, oral hygiene health for children 6 12 years old. The study a household survey. presence traits assessed in 495 participants. status severity were with decayed, missing, filled teeth (dmft/DMFT) index pulpal involvement, ulceration, fistula abscess (pufa/PUFA) index. Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S) Gingival (GI) used assess health. poor hygiene, gingival determined chi square logistic regression analyses. Statistical significance inferred at p < 0.05. Seventy-four (14.9%) participants had mean (SD) dmft/DMFT scores 0.27 (0.82) 0.07 (0.39), respectively, pufa/PUFA 0.09 (0.43) 0.02 (0.20), respectively. OHI-S score 1.56 (0.74) GI 0.90 (0.43). Dental Aesthetic ranged from 13 48 20.7 (4.57). Significantly greater proportions crowding (p = 0.026) buccal crossbite (p = 0.009) caries. more increased overjet (p = 0.003) anterior open bite (p = 0.008) moderate severe gingivitis. Poor (OR: 1.83; CI: 1.05–3.18 p = 0.033), 1.97; 1.01–3.49; p = 0.021) 6.57; 1.51–28.51 p = 0.012) significantly odds having (p < 0.001), (p = 0.003), (p = 0.014) only significant associated Crowding cross whereas These findings justify recommendation orthodontic treatment improve
