摘要: Noxious stimulation can trigger persistent sensitization of somatosensory systems that involves memory–like mechanisms. Here we report noxious the mollusc Aplysia produces transcription–dependent, long–term hyperexcitability (LTH) nociceptive sensory neurons requires a nitric oxide (NO)–cyclic GMP–protein kinase G (PKG) pathway. Injection cGMP induced LTH, whereas antagonists NO–cGMP–PKG pathway prevented pinch–induced LTH. Co–injection calcium/cAMP–responsive–element (CRE) blocked both LTH and cAMP–induced but protein A (PKA) failed to block Thus at least one other pathway, not cAMP–PKA are critical for inducing after brief, stimulation.
