摘要: The objective of this study was to explore public health informatics (PHI) training programs that currently exist meet the growing demand for a trained global workforce. We used several search engines, scientific databases, and websites organizations; sources included PubMed, Google, American Medical Informatics Organization, International Organization. conducted from May July 2011 January February 2012 using key words such as informatics, or biomedical along with academic programs, training, certificate, graduate postgraduate programs. Course titles catalog descriptions were gathered program institution websites. Variables PHI categories, location mode delivery, credits, costs. Each course then categorized based on its title description available Internet. Finally, we matched competencies PHIs determined by Centers Disease Control Prevention (CDC). Descriptive analysis performed report means frequency distributions continuous categorical variables. Stratified average credits cost per credit among both private institutions. Fifteen identified across 13 different institutions, majority which US-based. number associated costs required obtain much higher in compared results suggest need online contextual cost-effective exists address needs professionals worldwide who are technology improve their respective countries.
