Study of modulation property to incident laser by surface micro-defects on KH2PO4 crystal

摘要: KH2PO4 crystal is a crucial optical component of inertial confinement fusion. Modulation an incident laser by surface micro-defects will induce the growth damage, which largely restricts enhancement induced damage threshold. The modulation using different kinds defects are simulated employing three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method. results indicate that after defects, light intensity distribution inside badly distorted, with enhanced symmetrically. relations between properties and defect geometries (e.g., width, morphology, depth defects) quite for defects. action most obvious when width reaches 1.064 μm. For smooth such as spherical pits, degree smallest seems relatively uniform. increases rapidly increase becomes stable critical value. μm cuboid pits radial cracks, while ellipsoidal value depends on both length
