摘要: Abstract Developing products and processes to reduce waste facilitate reuse is the key sustainable minimization. A novel adsorbent was prepared for removal of fluoride ions from aqueous solution utilizing marble powder (MWP) which an environmental concern polluting soil/water resources. Characterization MWP done using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM)/energy-dispersive (EDS) transmission (TEM) gave insight compositional, micro-structural decomposition behavior adsorbent. The specific surface area used 7.18 m 2 /g. effect various factors such as pH, contact time, initial concentration, dosage presence other on also evaluated. results showed that adsorption capacity 1.20 mg/g at pH 7 with a time 3 h. mechanism studied, it found Freundlich isotherm fitted best experimental data, while kinetic studies revealed process followed pseudo-second order model. be effective defluoridation high water by reducing excess (>1.5 mg/L) simultaneously disposed into valuable product.
