摘要: Anomaloscopes are used in clinical and research applications involving the assessment of color vision. Output data include matching range (MR), midpoint, anomaly quotient (AQ). The latter is commonly to compare obtained using different instruments. However, midpoint AQ ultimately depend on MR, for which there no universal operational definition. In this study, 5 volunteers with normal vision each completed 510 trials a rating task an anomaloscope employing Moreland equation. aim was investigate nature perceptual transition into, out of, metameric match. This found be less than abrupt, providing ample opportunity influence individual response biases. Consequently, agreed-upon definition associated appropriate psychophysical technique, would facilitate identification tracking over time acquired deficits improve validity interstudy comparisons.
