摘要: Proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) is the major cause of failure in patients undergoing surgery for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD). Characterized by formation an abnormal contractile membrane within eye, PVR can tractional redetachment. Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), which epithelial cells morphologically and phenotypically transdifferentiate into mesenchymal cells, pathological process implicated PVR. Among various cell types involved process, pigment epithelium are primary contributors although, after decades research, mechanisms underlying EMT have remained elusive. Recently, signaling pathways, some involving growth factors, been demonstrated to contribute EMT. In this article, we review research date about roles such signaling, including transforming factor-beta-, hepatocyte factor-, platelet-derived Notch-, Wnt/β-catenin-, Hippo-signaling
