摘要: This study compared the difference in brain structure 12 mine disaster survivors with chronic post-traumatic stress disorder, 7 cases of improved disorder symptoms, and 14 controls who experienced same but did not suffer using voxel-based morphometry method. The correlation between differences symptoms was also investigated. Results showed that gray matter volume highest trauma control group, followed by symptoms-improved lowest group. Compared lingual gyrus right occipital lobe reduced middle left frontal superior parietal lobule significantly positively correlated State-Trait Anxiety Inventory subscale score group (r = 0.477, P 0.039). Our findings indicate (1) patients have structural damage prefrontal lobe, (2) after stress, are is reduced, cannot recover to trauma-control level, (3) possibly associated disorder. Post-traumatic exhibit abnormalities.
