摘要: Intrusive memories are a key symptom of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They emerge early after trauma exposure and predictive for PTSD development. There is high relevance in evaluating the neurobiological mechanisms stages intrusive development to provide further understanding PTSD. In present study, we explore structural differences healthy young female subjects preceding experimental their relationship memory using traumatic film paradigm. With voxel-based morphometry, demonstrate that smaller insular volume was associated with an increased number memories. Moreover, larger lingual gyrus/cerebellar inferior frontal gyrus/precentral gyrus volumes were also related Our results identify unique brain areas processing highlight necessity relevant personalized prevention treatment.
