摘要: The application of medications to the skin ease ailments is a practice that has been utilized by humankind over millennia and included poultices, gels, ointments, creams, pastes. These applications were primarily intended for local topical effect. use adhesive patches deliver drugs systemically relatively new phenomenon. first transdermal delivery system (TDDS) patch was approved Food Drug Administration in 1979 (scopolamine motion sickness). Nitroglycerine 1981. This method became widely recognized when nicotine smoking cessation introduced 1991. TDDS offer pharmacological advantages oral route improved patient acceptability compliance.
