Practical Memory Concerns of Older Adults

摘要: We examine practical memory concerns in a sample of community-dwelling older adults. Participants responded to open-ended questions that were designed solicit information regarding self-efficacy, management, remediation, and fears about aging adulthood. Results indicated (a) important dates, such as birthdays anniversaries, easily remembered, but names not; (b) external aids used most frequently; (c) desire improve for certain types verbal was expressed; (d) loss independence emerged fear associated with aging. Implications these findings the design strategies everyday performance clinical management adults are discussed.
