摘要: Abstract Background and purpose The of this study was to examine the minimum number days needed reliably estimate daily step count energy expenditure (EE), in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) who walked unaided. Methods Seven activity monitor data were collected for 26 participants MS (age = 44.5 ± 11.9 years; time since diagnosis = 6.5 ± 6.2 years; Patient Determined Disease Steps = ≤3). Mean mean EE (kcal) calculated all combinations (127 combinations), compared respective 7-day or using intra-class correlations (ICC), Generalizability Theory Bland-Altman. Results For count, ICC values 0.94–0.98 a G-coefficient 0.81 indicate any random 2-day combination is required calculate count. EE, 0.96–0.99 0.83 4-day EE. Bland-Altman analyses days, bar single day combinations, resulted bias within ±10%, when expressed as percentage Conclusions A 2 days 4 days regardless type, walk
