摘要: We hypothesized that the ability of BCG vaccination to protect against Mycobacterium tuberculosis is less in hosts exposed chronic helminthes infection compared unexposed individuals. To test this hypothesis we evaluated efficacy protecting M. challenge Schistosoma mansoni pre-infected mice by analyzing their limit replication TB bacilli lung and liver histology sections. The results show vaccinated with prior S. significantly higher number colony forming units as well significant reduction air exchange area controls. In addition, spleen cells from infected were found produce IFN-γ nitric oxide when stimulated vitro PPD several fold soluble egg antigen (SEA) Concanavalin A induced IL-4 IL-5 secretion. Taken together, our data reduces protective possibly attenuation immune responses mycobacterial antigens and/or polarizing general Th2 profile.
