摘要: The present investigation was conducted to evaluate the regulation of sleep architecture by red ginseng water extract (RGE) in acutely and chronically restraint stressed rats. Adult rats were fitted with sleep-wake recording electrodes. Following post-surgical recovery, extensively habituated for freely moving polygraphic conditions. Polygraphic signs activities recorded 24 h after RGE administration induction stress analyzed understand architecture. Acute decreased wakefulness increased total sleep, non-rapid eye movement (NREM) rapid (REM) both daytime nighttime recording. shortened NREM REM without changing sleep. wakefulness, total, Chronic recording, day night time ameliorated chronic induced alterations could also induce alternations cortex electroencephalogram (EEG) during NREM, wakefulness. These findings suggest that may modulate behavior ameliorating effect on involve modulation α-, θ- δ- wave cortical EEG.
