Analyze complex phases of slag-tundish plaster reactions by modified XRD ratio of slopes method for some kinetic considerations

摘要: Abstract Ratio of slopes method (RSM) is employed for quantitative analysis complex phases formed in continuous casting as reaction products tundish plaster (composed high-MgO content) and alloy steel slag contained mainly oxides SiO2, CaO, MgO, MnO metallic Fe. XRD results indicated that at 1600 °C, Monticellite (CaMgSiO4), Merwinite (Ca3Mg(SiO4)2) Tephroite (Mn2SiO4) were developed by with MgO grains plaster, low melting points of, respectively, 1498, 1575 1345 °C. For analysis, CaF2 was chosen standard material some modifications used overlapping too many peaks lack materials known purity. Results the range 41–53% 13–28% Monticellite, 7–33% 5–13% three different plasters. It found rate dissolution because increases original content increased.
