摘要: Objective Febrile seizure is the most common problem in pediatric neurology that occurs 3- 4 % of children. The purpose this study was to determine febrile recurrence frequency and evaluate its risk factors. Materials & Methods In a descriptive prospective study, 139 children (6 months 6 years) with first were admitted Yazd Shaheed Sadoughi Hospital between March 2004 August 2005 followed up for at least 15 recurrence. Results Seventy six boys 63 girls mean age 2.03 ± 1.21 years 25.1±5.5 months. About 30% them had complex seizures 37.4% time 6.7 5.9 65% younger than one year those older (P value= 0.0001) Recurrence seen 63% who within an hour from onset fever 33% after fever. value = 0.005) Seizures old occurring association lasting less factors Conclusion more disturbing old. Antipyretic usage not effective preventing but may reduce discomfort reassuring.
