摘要: Abstract The projections of different subfields the medial and lateral prefrontal cortices to amygdala were studied in rat using sensitive Phaseolus vulgaris leucoagglutinin anterograde tract tracing technique. Injections into infralimbic cortex produced labeling capsular subdivision central nucleus, superfacial (corticomedial) amygdaloid nuclei, accessory basal anterior area. caudal portion additional intermediate nucleus. prelimbic had magnocellular nucleus adjacent portions precentral rostromedial part orbital ventral agranular insular labeled fibers rostral superficial amygdala, nuclei. dorsal area several subdivisions as well rostrolateral nucleus; latter complementary those originating present study indicates that each has a distinctive projection amygdala. areas cortices, which receive olfactory projections, are only cortical with olfactory-related more dorsally situated areas, cortex, have suggesting they modulate separate cortico-striatal-pallidal circuits. specificity cortico-amygdaloid is indicative their involvement discrete functions.
