Search for anomalous alignments of structures in Planck data using Minkowski Tensors

摘要: Minkowski Tensors are tensorial generalizations of the scalar Functionals. Due to their nature they contain additional morphological information structures, in particular about shape and alignment, comparison functionals. They have recently been used [29] study statistical isotropy temperature E mode data from Planck satellite. The calculation relied on stereographic projection fields extract alignment information. In this work, we calculate directly sphere compute net data, based a recent work that extends definition random curved spaces. This method circumvents numerical errors can be introduced by projection. We compare resulting parameter values obtained frequency coadded CMB cleaned SMICA pipeline, those simulations include instrumental beam effects residual foreground noise. find very good agreement between two within $\approx$ 1$\sigma$ . further alignments beam-convolved maps at individual frequencies corresponding simulations. no significant difference observed across all frequencies, except for 30 GHz channel. For channel 2$\sigma$ mild disagreement most likely originates inaccurate estimation GHz.
