摘要: This chapter focuses on what is known about socioeconomic disparities (SES) in child health and different types of exposures during childhood, utero, from the previous generation that may contribute to those disparities. SES appear be substantial, begin at very young ages, persist, compound over lifecourse. Few specifically childhood promising explanations for observed linkages between health, although neighborhood city characteristics, environmental toxins, parent behaviors, children’s epigenetic responses deserve more scrutiny. An increasing number studies point importance utero intergenerational exposures, suggesting emerge earlier than previously thought. Maternal nutrition (in prior conception, mother’s own fetal development childhood) a area research understanding as are prenatal preconceptional toxins through occupations residential environments. For significant advances made among both children adults, we need better conceptualization process leading disparities, knowledge determinants measurement particularly children.
