Automatic generation of generic Bitstream Syntax Descriptions applied to H.264/AVC SVC encoded video streams

摘要: In order to create a media resource adaptation engine that supports current and future coding formats, generic (i.e., format-agnostic) solution is needed. One way realize this rely on automatically created textual descriptions of the high-level syntax binary resources, which can be used steer resources. MPEG-21 bitstream schema (gBS Schema) tool enables use format-agnostic or (gBSDs). This paper introduces gBFlavor, novel for automatic generation gBSDs. It offers possibility generate format-specific parser able produce gBSD given resource. paper, gBFlavor demonstrated gBSDs H.264/AVC SVC compliant bitstreams. Performance results show proposed outperforms existing techniques in terms execution speed.
