A practical simulation approach for an effective truck dispatching system of open pit mines using VBA

摘要: Material handling is one of the most important operations carried out in open pit mines. According to previous studies, it accounts for approximately 50% total operating costs. As a means reducing cost, allocate and dispatch trucks efficiently. Although optimizing necessary number assigned transportation hauling an issue operation mines, practice, creating reasonable truck dispatching control table more beneficial. In this paper, we propose practical simulation modeling approach enhanced by VBA programing achieve effective system mine. We present case study mine, where implement algorithm with determine best allocation meet particular grade stable production.
