摘要: Abstract Objective Crohn's disease is a highly distressful chronic disorder, characterized by frequent relapses. A symptom-based activity index was developed for use in epidemiological research. Study Design and Setting One hundred six consecutive patients presenting to tertiary referral hospital Southern Germany 2004–2005 participated questionnaire-based survey. As reference standard, assessed using clinical (Crohn's Disease Activity Index [CDAI], based on symptoms reported physician, laboratory markers, physician signs). linear regression equation calculated the survey data severity of (dependent variable: CDAI). Survey scores (S-CDAI) were then estimated coefficients pain, stools, general well-being an independent set. Results S-CDAI CDAI showed moderate agreement (kappa = 0.57 relapse vs. remission). High (high S-CDAI) correlated negatively with high quality life (disease specific: Short Inflammatory Bowel Quality-of-Life Questionnaire; r  = −0.67; generic: Form 36 physical summary score,  = −0.47). Test–retest reliability sensitivity change good (intraclass correlation coefficient 0.81). Conclusion useful, valid, reliable score developed, which will facilitate meaningful research this disorder.
