Pharmaceutical evaluation of ibuprofen fast-absorbed syrup containing low-molecular-weight gelatin

摘要: Two kinds of ibuprofen syrups were prepared and evaluated. One was a suspending syrup, by using hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) as dispersing agent, the other dry syrup containing low-molecular-weight gelatin (LM gelatin). The dissolution behaviors from studied, both showed size-dependent dissolution; smaller particles exhibited faster dissolution. in vivo absorption compared with that commercial tablets beagle dogs human volunteers. rates following oral administrations much greater than those administration tablets. Moreover, reduced bitter taste irritation mucosa caused ibuprofen; markedly masked these side effects. These results suggest LM improves some pharmaceutical properties ibuprofen, may be used variety dosage forms.
